I run my own consulting business/public speaking business, JazzCode Inc. from Boston, MA and Oslo, Norway.

Biography

I run JazzCode, Inc. out of Oslo, Norway and Boston, MA, teaching teams how to communicate more efficiently. In Norway and Sweden I runworkshops showing what business can learn from jazz.

As a presenter receive very high rankings. workshops showing what business can learn from jazz.


I lived in the US between 1980-1991 and 1999-2003. I have a Master of Music in jazz from Manhattan School of Music and a Master in Business from Columbia University.

Spent almost ten years as a professional drummer and programmer in New York and Oslo.

I spent four years working as a management consultant for IBM (e-business strategy) and one year as Senior Vice Presiden in charge of marketing and online sales for Norwegian Air Shuttle, a local low cost carrier in Norway (I was also in the core team that took the company public in 2003 -- I created the investor presentation used for the roadshow in London and Frankfurt 2003).

During my five years tenure with StudentUniverse I have gained special experience negotiating online distribution deals (Yahoo, American Airlines, Travelocity, CheapTickets, Telenor, Narvesen, Aller Digitale Medier), building a company from zero to 80 employees, and in raising money from investors ($25M without i-bankers!). Experienced in PR and media contact, plus as a presenter.

I now present world wide for a corporate clients (McKinsey, IBM, Krafts Food, Oracle, Cap Gemini -- see www.carlstormer.com/jazz/references.html) and prestigious business schools (Insead, London Business School). Have also taught at different conservatories in Norway. I live in Oslo Norway with a wife and two kids.
